Your ideas can make a difference

The Ideation and Design track is a unique and collaborative approach to designing inclusive fintech products for women in India. By bringing together ideas and skills from a range of backgrounds and experience, we hope to build innovative approaches and ideas to an early stage over the course of the TechSprint. The benefits for participants are:

  • Building a network - The collaborative nature of the TechSprint means that you will be working with a range of different people. During the 5 days you will create a team and build relationships that may serve you in future career endeavours or projects.

  • Creative ideas - If you have an interest in women’s digital financial inclusion, sharing your thoughts and ideas with others will in turn spark new and creative ideas for you. Taking these ideas and building on them will benefit both you in your career and the women of India.

  • Visibility to leaders in digital financial services - Our judges and experts come from senior roles across the financial services industry. Taking part in this event will give you an opportunity to showcase your skills and knowledge to senior executives and a global audience.

  • Prizes and recognition - There will be cash prizes worth up to INR 15 Lakh distributed between winning solutions across the competition.

Who is taking part?

TechSprints are unique from hackathons in that the best solutions and ideas come from teams that have a range of skills and knowledge, not just those with technology experience. Of course it’s great to see the technology in action, but TechSprints allow for a diverse pool of experience and in fact thrive when there is more diverse thought.

  • Experience and knowledge of women’s inclusivity, education, business and behavior.

  • Experience of designing digital technology solutions and/or financial technology.

  • Academic knowledge of human behavior and mindset.

  • Experience as a back-end or front-end developer - no specific amount of experience, we want all from experienced to junior to join us.

  • Financial services/products experience, particularly in the space of gender specific design, but also regulatory knowledge in concept creation and execution.

  • Philanthropic/ Local support group experience. Working directly with the women we are trying to design for.
